Novel artificial intelligence-based mobile solution for early detection of valvular heart disorders

My objective is to develop a low-cost portable system for early screening of valvular heart disorders utilizing the latest technologies in cloud, mobile, and artificial intelligence. The diagnostic tool is primarily targeted for untrained healthcare workers who provide more than 75% of the primary care in rural India. Real-time diagnosis is done using processing and classification of heart sounds with the latest algorithms to simulate stethoscope-based cardiac auscultation done by trained doctors. The system is trained and tested with multiple open-source heart sound datasets and also heart sounds collected in real life with a low-cost digital stethoscope constructed as part of the project.
