Improving speaking ability after hearing loss with bone conduction and diaphragm voice-training techniques

Haemavitch Varith, Thailand 13-15

The project dealt with the invention of a hearing aid device and voice-training technique to help deaf people to speak better. I first created a prototype of the hearing aid device, called EarZ, based on a bone conduction effect that I accidentally discovered while playing a guitar. After the EarZ device was tested, I further used it for voice training using a diaphragm technique for singing that trains voice power. Both the device and technique can be used to help those with hearing loss disabilities live better lives by having better voice communication.
