The ThereNIM: A Touchless Respiratory MonitorEswar Anandapadmanaban, USA Finalist, 15-16
Every day, hundreds of suffering patients endure simple respiratory tests with wires and electrodes hanging from their faces. A medical field teeming with innovative ideas is yet to produce an method for non-invasive respiratory monitoring. I designed the ThereNIM, a unique device to measure breathing without any contact. It is the answer for doctors, patients, and hospitals around the world. I have set the groundworks for further research utilizing heterodyning oscillators in the medical field.
